The exhibition ENTREACTO brings together seven pairs of vases modeled in white clay by Alfonso Alcaide, ceramist of La Rambla. The pieces are born from the dialogue between the ceramic tradition, the theatrical scene and the affective dimension of the objects. The title alludes to that time suspended between acts, where something stops and, at the same time, is transformed and in this symbolic interval, the vases cease to be simple containers to become bodies that approach, touch, hold and embrace.

The morphology of the vases evokes the corporealous, the vulnerable and the human. Each couple seems to represent a relationship, a tension or an intimate form of shared presence. The creative process thus becomes a ritual of contact and production where the materiality of the clay preserves the memory of the gesture, the pressure and the encounter to get the surface of the vases to crystallize into a physical and affective action. The carnality of the white mud appears as skin and as a stage to record the imprint of a hug.

ENTREACTO extends the research started in Objects of Affection – Broken Vases in 2019. On this new occasion, the project is developed as a collaboration between Asunción Lozano and Pedro Osakar. The exhibition proposes to look at objects as sensitive presences, full of memory and bond.
An intermit-action where ceramics become a gesture, body and affection.

La exposición ENTREACTO reúne siete parejas de jarrones modelados en barro blanco por Alfonso Alcaide, ceramista de La Rambla. Las piezas nacen del diálogo entre la tradición cerámica, la escena teatral y la dimensión afectiva de los objetos. El título alude a ese tiempo suspendido entre actos, donde algo se detiene y, al mismo tiempo, se transforma y en este intervalo simbólico, los jarrones dejan de ser simples recipientes para convertirse en cuerpos que se aproximan, se tocan, se sostienen y se abrazan.

La morfología de los jarrones evoca lo corpóreo, lo vulnerable y lo humano. Cada pareja parece representar una relación, una tensión o una forma íntima de presencia compartida. El proceso creativo se convierte así en un ritual de contacto y de producción donde la materialidad del barro conserva la memoria del gesto, de la presión y del encuentro para conseguir que la superficie de los jarrones cristalice en una acción física y afectiva. La carnalidad del barro blanco aparece como piel y como escenario para registrar la huella de un abrazo.

ENTREACTO prolonga la investigación iniciada en Objects of Affection – Broken Vases en 2019. En esta nueva ocasión, el proyecto se desarrolla como una colaboración entre Asunción Lozano y Pedro Osakar. La exposición propone mirar los objetos como presencias sensibles, cargadas de memoria y vínculo.
Un entreacto donde la cerámica se vuelve gesto, cuerpo y afecto.
